  1. Sarah, I was given a copy of your book Alongside by a friend and co-worker Mike G. I was in the process of losing a dear, close friend of 37 years due to cancer. I consider myself mentally a strong person, able to cope with what life brings, especially in the realm of challenges. I was struggling. Your book at first glance seemed fairly basic. As I delved into your gentle cadence, I found myself intrigued as to just how much topical challenges exists in helping others in times of suffering. The obvious is not so obvious when your immersed in the moment. Your sage advise was a perfect blend of compassion and self awareness with a Christian themed manifestation of common attributes shared by all who suffer and those who assist with their comfort. Thank you for writing this book. I will definitely share this book with all who are in need. I thank Mike G. for his awareness of my pain as well.

    • Steve, You are so kind and generous with your words, and I’m humbled to play a small role in your journey. I’m so sorry you lost a cherished and treasured friend. comfort and peace to you.
